  2. Be sure the models are water tight in Rhino (closed polysurfaces).
  3. Export STL or OBJ
  4. Slice using PrusaSlicer (installed on PCs in the Thing Tank) - recommended settings: Printer set to Prusa i3 MK2.5, filament set to PLA and layer height set to .2mm (normal).
  5. Take a screen record video of the slicer simulation for your blog post.
  6. Photograph your 3D Printed item (failed or successful)
  7. Document this project in a new post on your blog. Consider your learnings/expectations when moving from digital to simulation to physical reality. Note challenges faced with digital fabrication process.

Some options in Calgary include Solarbotics,  Spool3D and Print Your Mind (order online and pick up/delivery only). Purchase PLA or PETG only, no filament with wood particle is allowed at the Thing Tank, and do not purchase from Geetech.

Have fun PRINTING!
